TRIBIOME: Advanced tools for integration and synergistic interconnection of microbiomes in resilient food systems

Tribiome aims to advance alignment with the Green Deal and Farm2fork strategies, by deepening the knowledge of soil/plant/animal and human microbiomes, as well as their interrelationships and interconnections. The overall objective of TRIBIOME is to ensure a resilient food production system through modulation of the interaction of soil-plant microbiomes to adapt them to climate changes using the microbial diversity specific to each region, aligning all the actors involved within the whole food value chain, under the multi-actor approach framework, developing solutions to real problems and challenges faced by farmers, livestock farmers, industry, consumers and citizens. The TRIBIOME project will focus on the study of microbiomes (microorganisms and their genetic material) in soil and plants with the aim of facilitating the research of new tools to improve wheat crop yields and future production of advanced and more nutritious food. One of the objectives is to generate an upgrade quality food and have a positive influence on the microbiomes of both animals and humans.
