FoodAfrica II

FoodAfrica II is a continuation to the Research and Development Programme FoodAfrica, focusing on improving food security in the region through capacity building in research and extension. The aim of FoodAfrica II is to customize the research results from FoodAfrica I for different end-users and disseminating them widely to stakeholders, including Higher Education Institutions, extension organizations, and NGOs, policy makers and farmers. The impact the Programme will contribute to is improved food and nutrition security, and through that livelihoods of small-scale farmers and vulnerable groups. The final beneficiaries of the Programme are small scale farmers in the Programme countries; Benin, Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Senegal and Uganda. The Programme partners include Finnish expert organizations, CGIAR centers and local partners, such as universities, national research institutes and NGOs. A central part of the Programme is improving the capacity of local partners and stakeholders.
