In September 2020, agricultural products and foodstuffs were exported to the value of EUR 0.14 billion and were imported for about EUR 0.4 billion. The value of imports and exports remained almost unchanged from the corresponding period of the previous year.
The volume of grain exports in September 2020 was approximately 33 million kilos. The volume of exports decreased by about 5.4 million kilos from September of the previous year. The volume of grain imports was about 3.3 million kilograms, which was 3,4 million kilograms less than in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The value of exports of dairy and dairy products increased by 12 percent and the volume of exports by 12 per cent from September of the previous year. The value of imports of milk and dairy products fell by 12 percent, while the volume of imports fell by 8 percent.
The value of meat exports fell by 9% from the previous September, while the volume of exports remained unchanged. The value of meat imports fell by a fifth, and the volume of imported meat by 18% from the previous year.
The value of fruit and berry exports fell by more than 37 percent from the previous September, while the value of their imports rose by 6 percent. The value of vegetable exports and imports remained at the previous year's level.
