SDG 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns

The global economy consumes natural resources at a rate that exceeds the planet’s ecological limits. Our goal is to produce research-based solutions that promote the wise and sustainable use of renewable natural resources and raw materials. Through the bio-based circular economy, material flows can be optimized, both primary and side streams can be utilized more efficiently, and new sustainable business opportunities can be created.

As a case example of our actions toward advancing UN Sustainable Development Goal 12, we highlight our work on the potential of carbon dioxide utilization, bio-based value chemicals, and the sustainable use of natural resources in the Arctic region.
