In November 2020, agricultural products and foodstuffs were exported at a value of just under EUR 0.15 billion and were imported at just over EUR 0.46 billion. Compared to November of the previous year, the value of imports increased by 2 percent and the value of exports decreased by 13 percent.
The volume of grain exports in November 2020 was approximately 47 million kilos. The volume of exports was only a third of what it was in November 2019. The volume of grain imports was about 11.3 million kilograms, which was almost 70 percent more than in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The value of exports of dairy and dairy products increased by 2 percent from November of the previous year; in terms of exports, growth was only one percent. The value of imports of milk and dairy products fell by 12 percent, while the volume of imports fell by 7 percent.
The value of meat exports fell by 12 percent from the previous November, while the volume of exports remained unchanged. The value of meat imports fell by 17 percent from the previous year, while the volume of imported meat fell by 11 percent.
The value of fruit and berry exports decreased by 16 percent compared to the previous November, while the value of their imports increased by 5%. The value of vegetable exports fell by about 9 percent and the value of imports by 4 percent.
