Foreign trade in roundwood and forest industry products, 2/2020 (preliminary)

Industrial actions in the beginning of the year decreased the exports of forest industry products. In February the exports value of forest industry products was EUR 0.57 billion. Compared to February previous year the exports value decreased in real terms by 45 per cent (deflated using wholesale price index).
In January-February the exports value totalled in real terms EUR 1.54 billion. Compared to same period previous year the exports value decreased in real terms by 29 per cent.
In February 2020 Finland’s wood imports totalled 0.88 million cubic metres. In January-February wood imports totalled 1.82 million cubic metres increasing by seven per cent compared to the same period previous year.
