Foreign trade in fish, 4/2022 (preliminary)

Fish and fish products were imported to Finland in April 2022 worth just under 54 million euros, amounting to 6.6 million kilograms. Of this, there were 2.7 million kilos of fresh whole salmon, of which about 1.2 million kilos remained in Finland and about 1.6 million kilos went on to Europe as a transit export. Almost 22 million euros worth of fish and fish products were exported; amounting to 5.2 million kilograms.

• The value of imports increased by 56 percent from the corresponding time of the previous year, while the amount of imports decreased by 2 percent.

• The value of exports increased by 71 percent compared to the previous April, while the amount of exports decreased by a good percent.
