Utilization of the separately collected fractions of food processing by-products

The aim of the project is to develop a company-specific operation models to the processing of by-products for companies that produce, use and process food raw materials and to reduce the flow of nutrients into watercourses. The aim is also to increase the co-operation between different companies and to increase the sharing of information between companies.

The project provides practical examples and models of sustainable practices for the collection, processing, utilization and nutrient cycle of "pure", separately collected by-products of food processes. In addition, information on the utilization options for processed fractions and users of those fractions will be obtained.
