Commercial fellings, 3/2021

• In March, 7,4 million m³ of roundwood was harvested for use by the forest industries in Finland. This removal volume was up 28% from the previous year and 16% from the ten-year March average.   
• Sawlogs accounted for 2.9 million m³ and pulpwood for 4.5 million m³ of the industrial roundwood removal.
• Industrial roundwood removals from forests in non-industrial private ownership were 6.3 million m³.
• Forest industry companies and the state harvested 1.1 million m³ of industrial roundwood from their forests.
• In March, 523 000 cubic meters of wood was harvested for energy production.
