MSc Juulia Manninen will defend her doctoral dissertation on 5 June 2026 at 12:00 at the University of Helsinki on the topic "Environmental Microbiota and Pollution in Urban Environments: Implications for Health-Relevant Exposure".
The public examination will take place in Auditorium 116, Unioninkatu 35, Helsinki, at the University of Helsinki. The event will be held in Finnish.
The opponent will be Docent Anne Karvonen from the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, and the custos will be Professor Sarah Butcher from the University of Helsinki.
The doctoral thesis has been supervised by Aki Sinkkonen, Mira Grönroos from the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE), and Marja Roslund from the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke).
