Cereals purchased, used and stockpiled, Q4 2025 and year 2025

The amount of rye transferred from farms to the market doubled compared to the previous year. The industry also purchased significantly more feed wheat and peas directly from farms than in the previous year. Oat purchases, on the other hand, decreased by one-fifth.  Industrial consumption remained at the previous year's level for all cereals. Grain stocks in trade and industry were larger than in the previous year, with wheat and rye stocks increasing the most. Barley stocks in trade and industry, on the other hand, were about one-fifth less than in the previous year.

The following quantities were transferred from farms to the market in 2025

•    246 million kilograms of bread wheat

•    279 million kilograms of feed wheat

•    83 million kilograms of rye

•    8 million kilograms of triticale

•    387 million kilograms of feed barley

•    91 million kilograms of malting barley

•    405 million kilograms of food-grade oats

•    237 million kilograms of feed oats

•    39 million kilograms of rapeseed and turnip rape

•    50 million kilograms of peas

•    5 million kilograms of field beans

In 2025, industry used

•    wheat 461 million kilograms

•    rye 73 million kilograms

•    barley 428 million kilograms

•    peas 35 million kilograms

•    39 million kilograms of corn 

•    9 million kilograms of faba beans

At the end of 2025, industry and trade had the following amounts of grain and protein crops in storage

A total of over 470 million kilograms of grain

•    174 million kilograms of wheat

•    53 million kilograms of rye

•    56 million kilograms of barley

•    188 million kilograms of oats

•    60 million kilograms of rapeseed and turnip rape

•    corn 14 million kilograms

•    peas 12 million kilograms
