Farms - especially livestock farms - employ not only farmers and their family members, but also workers hired by the farmers themselves, and people employed by other employers, such as farm relief workers and veterinarians. The farm is an example of a common workplace where the main responsibility for safety at work lies with the entrepreneur, but everyone has a responsibility to contribute. Accidents at work and work-related diseases remain a major risk for all occupational groups working on farms.

The main objective of the project is to promote safety at work and the smooth running of the work of the various professional groups working on farms. This will be achieved by 1) identifying good practices in the field of safety and health at work on farms where farm owners and their family members, paid workers and external professionals are employed, 2) supporting farm owners and other actors in the adoption of good practices, 3) disseminating information on good practices widely using communication channels already familiar to the professional groups targeted by the project.
