Statistics on cereals purchased and used by industry and trade, Q3 2017

During the third quarter of 2017:

A total of 582 million kilos of cereals entered the market from farms, of which

• bread wheat 48 million kilos
• feed wheat 81 million kilos
• rye 47 million kilos
• malting barley 37 million kilos
• feed barley 192 million kilos
• oats 178 million kilos.

A total of 5 million kilos of rape and turnip rape entered the market from farms.

Industry in Finland used a total of 375 million kilos of cereals

• 104 million kilos were used for food
• 187 million kilos were used for feed.
