Cereals and protein crops moved from farms to markets in the third quarter of 2024 (in brackets, change compared to the same quarter of the previous year)
- 66 million kg of bread wheat (+12%).
- 66 million kg of feed wheat (-1%).
- 21 million kilos of rye (-54%).
- 20 million kilos of malting barley (-13%).
- 144 million kilos of feed barley (-6%).
- 264 million kilos of food oats (+216%).
- 97 million kilos of feed oats (-11%).
- 10 million kilos of rapeseed and colza (+181%).
- 15 million kilos of peas(-13%).
- 1.4 million kilos of broad bean (-38%).
Cereals used by the domestic industry
- 335 million kilos, of which wheat 114 million kilos (+6%). Organic cereals accounted for almost 36 million kilos (+309%). Some 124 million kilos of cereals were used for food purposes, of which just over 20 million kilos were organic (+204%).
At the same time, the industry used protein and oilseeds, of which
- 8.4 million kilos of peas (-2%)
- 2 million kilos of broad beans (-31%)
- 9.2 million kilos of maize (+13%).
