Changes and corrections to statistic on the purchase, use and storage of cereals and protein and oilseeds statistics
This page shows the changes to the statistics from 2020 onwards and the revisions from January 2022 onwards, such as mergers of statistics and name changes. The statistics have been corrected due to an error in the data transfer process during the third quarter of 2024 concerning wheat. The change affects the figures in the tables “Quarterly use of cereals, protein crops and oilseeds in industry,” “Annual use of cereals, protein crops and oilseeds in industry” and “Annual use of cereals, protein crops and oilseeds in industry”. The changes affect the figures in the columns for total use of cereals, total use as feed and total use of wheat.

Due to a system error, the figures for organic wheat and rye wheat were corrected because part of the food use of organic wheat was recorded in rye wheat. The impact on total wheat consumption was +0.3%.
Change in statistics 11.5.2022
Statistics on the purchase, use and storage of cereals and protein and oilseeds
The name of the statistics on purchases, use and storage of cereals, protein and oilseeds (OSF, ESS) was changed on 1155.2022. Previously, the statistics were called Cereals purchased, used and stockpiled.
Rationale: The name of the statistics does not reflect the extended data content from the beginning of 2021. From the beginning of 2021 onwards, in addition to cereals, respondents have been asked to provide quantitative data on protein and oilseeds.
