Cereals purchased, used and stockpiled, Q4 2024 and year 2024

By 2024, almost 1.8 billion kilograms of cereals will have moved from farms to the market, of which the organic share will be just under 4%. In addition to cereals, the domestic industry bought oil and protein crops directly from farms, including 41 million kilograms of rape and turnip rape, 44 million kilograms of peas and 5 million kilograms of broad beans.

At the end of 2024, stocks of cereals were around 20% lower than a year earlier, while stocks of organic crops were 25% lower. Rye stocks fell most, by almost 50%.
