Cereals purchased and used, Q1 2021

During the first quarter of 2021:

A total of 454 million kilos of cereals entered the market from farms, of which

• bread wheat 56 million kilos
• feed wheat 71 million kilos
• rye 16 million kilos
• malting barley 34 million kilos
• feed barley 138 million kilos
• food oats 63 million kilos (Note the new statistics)
• feed oats 77 million kilos (Note the new statistics).

A total of 12 million kilos of rape and turnip rape entered the market from farms.

Industry in Finland used a total of 340 million kilos of cereals

• 109 million kilos were used for food
• 150 million kilos were used for feed
• 81 million kilos were used for other uses.
