Milk Production 2021

• Milk production decreased to 2,247 million liters in 2021. Dairies received 2 206 million liters of milk
• In December 2021, milk producers numbered 4,960 - 400 less than in 2020.
• Organic milk production was 81 million liters and there were 137 organic milk producers.
• There were 248,500 dairy cows in December 2021, which is 3% less than in December 2020.

 Production volumes of dairy products

Compared to the previous year, in year 2021:

• The production volumes of liquid dairy products fell by 1%
• Butter production fell by 7%
• Cheese production fell by 3%.
