Meat Production by Area 2020

  • Pork production was 176 million kilos in 2020, which was three per cent more than during the previous year. Production increased most in South Ostrobothnia.
  • The largest pork-producing municipalities were Huittinen, Loimaa and Seinäjoki.
  • Beef production decreased by one per cent to 87 million kilos in 2020. Production decreased in many ELY Centre regions.
  • The most beef was produced in Kuopio, Kiuruvesi and Kurikka.  
  • Mutton production fell by three per cent to 1.4 million kilograms.
  • The most of mutton was produced in Salo, Somero and Kauhava.
