Utilised Agricultural Area 2020, regional preliminary data

Arable areas in 2020 based on the situation on 17 June 2020. The next adjustment to the preliminary information will be made based on more extensive data on 14 July.

In 2020, the most significant changes in the utilized agricultural area in Finland (2.3 million hectares);

the cultivated area of cereals, 1,086,000 hectares, remains half of the entire area - will increase by 20,000 hectares;
The sown area of barley, 459,000 hectares (+1%) and oats, 347,000 hectares (+9%) wheat 211,000 ha (+2%) increased while area of rye 20,000 hectares (-48%) decreased
the area under peas (25,000 ha) will increase by 81%
the area under caraway (20,000 ha) will decrease by 15%
the area under turnip rape and oilseed rape (30,000 ha) will decrease by 18%
