Statistics on cereals purchased and used by industry and trade, Q3 2020

During the third quarter of 2020:

A total of 672 million kilos of cereals entered the market from farms, of which

• bread wheat 62 million kilos
• feed wheat 51 million kilos
• rye 43 million kilos
• malting barley 35 million kilos
• feed barley 183 million kilos
• oats 229 million kilos.

A total of 4 million kilos of rape and turnip rape entered the market from farms.

Industry in Finland used a total of 350 million kilos of cereals

• 112 million kilos were used for food
• 149 million kilos were used for feed
• 90 million kilos were used for other uses.
