Statistics on cereals purchased and used by industry and trade, Q3 2019

During the third quarter of 2019:

A total of 797 million kilos of cereals entered the market from farms, of which

• bread wheat 80 million kilos
• feed wheat 104 million kilos
• rye 63 million kilos
• malting barley 29 million kilos
• feed barley 234 million kilos
• oats 286 million kilos.

A total of 11 million kilos of rape and turnip rape entered the market from farms.

Industry in Finland used a total of 342 million kilos of cereals, of which

• 111 million kilos were used for food
• 154 million kilos were used for feed.
