Statistics on cereals purchased and used by industry and trade, Q3 2018

During the third quarter of 2018:

A total of 503 million kilos of cereals entered the market from farms, of which

• bread wheat 33 million kilos  
• feed wheat 56 million kilos
• rye 20 million kilos    
• malting barley 30 million kilos
• feed barley 172 million kilos
• oats 192 million kilos

A total of 16 million kilos of rape and turnip rape entered the market from farms.

Industry in Finland used a total of 337 million kilos of cereals, of which

• 102 million kilos were used for food
• 151 million kilos were used for feed.
