Statistics on cereals purchase and used by industry and trade, Q3 2013

During the third quarter of 2013:

A total of 663 million kilos of cereals entered the market from farms

• Proportion of wheat was 144 million kilos (22%)

• Proportion of rye was 10 million kilos (2%)

• Proportion of barley was 271 million kilos (41%)

• Proportion of oats was 237 million kilos (36%)

Industry in Finland used a total of 349 million kilos of cereals

• 108 million kilos were used for food

• 164 million kilos were used for feed

A total of 9 million kilos of rape and turnip rape entered the market from farms
