Cereals purchased and used, Q1 2020

Preliminary data: During the first quarter of 2020:

A total of 544 million kilos of cereals entered the market from farms, of which

• bread wheat 80 million kilos
• feed wheat 80 million kilos
• rye 19 million kilos
• malting barley 41 million kilos
• feed barley 159 million kilos
• oats 164 million kilos.

A total of 14 million kilos of rape and turnip rape entered the market from farms.

Industry in Finland used a total of 349 million kilos of cereals

• 118 million kilos were used for food
• 150 million kilos were used for feed

• 81 million kilos were used for other uses.
