- About 2,206 million litres of milk was produced in 2021, which is four per cent less than previous year.
- Milk producers totalled 4,960 at the end of year. Number of farms decreased 8% during last year.
- Milk production decreased almost in all ELY Centres except in South Ostrobothnia and Åland where production increased slightly.
- Milk production decreased by 4% both in support areas AB and in support area C.
- The largest milk producer municipalities were: Kuopio, Kurikka, Kiuruvesi and Kokkola.
