Milk and Milk Product Statistics, 7/2023 (provisional)

In January to July, one per cent less milk was produced than in the corresponding period one year ago. In July, production was just under 183 million litres, which is slightly higher than a year earlier.

The manufacture of liquid dairy products and butter decreased, while the manufacture of cheese increased in January-July compared with the corresponding period of the year before.

Compared to previous year, in January-July 2023:

• Milk production:  - 1%
• Production of liquid dairy products: - 2%
• Butter production:  - 1%
• Cheese production:   +5%

From 2023 onwards, production of fresh cheese and other fresh products, are not entirely comparable with data from previous years.
