Milk and Milk Product Statistics, 4/2023 (provisional)

Milk production in January-April was two per cent lower than a year ago. In April, production fell by 1% to 181 million liters.

Compared to previous year, in January-April 2023:

• Milk production:  - 2%
• Production of liquid dairy products: - 3%
• Butter production:  + 1%
• Cheese production:   +1 %

From 2023 onwards, production of fresh cheese and other fresh products, are not entirely comparable with data from previous years.
