Milk and Milk Product Statistics, 3/2023 (provisional)

Milk production in January-March was two per cent lower than a year ago. In March, production fell by 3% to 188 million liters.

Compared to previous year, in January-March 2023:

• Milk production:  - 2%
• Production of liquid dairy products: - 2%
• Butter production:  + 1%
• Cheese production:   +1 %

From 2023 onwards, production of fresh cheese and other fresh products, are not entirely comparable with data from previous years.
