Milk and Milk Product Statistics, year 2013 and 1/2014 (provisional)

In January 2014, year-on-year:

• Milk production rose just over 3%
• The number of milk producers fell by 6%
• The production volumes of liquid dairy products rose by 1%
• Butter production rose by 3%
• Cheese production rose by 3%.

Compared to the previous year, January-December 2013:

• Milk production rose just over 1%
• The production volumes of liquid dairy products fell slightly
• Butter production rose by 6%
• Cheese was produced almost same quantity.
