Compared to the previous year, January-December 2009:

• Total meat production fell by 4%
• Beef production rose by 1%
• Pork production fell by 5%
• Lamb and mutton production fell by 4%
• Poultry meat production fell by 6%.

In January 2010, year-on-year:

• Beef production fell by 12%
• Pork production fell by 14%
• Poultry meat production fell by fifth
• Lamb and mutton production rose by quarter.
