Meat Production by Area 2017 (beef, pork and sheep)

Pork production was 182 million kilos in 2017, which was five per cent less than during the previous year.
The largest pork-producing municipalities were Loimaa, Huittinen and Ilmajoki.
Beef production decreased by one per cent to 86 million kilos in 2017. Production decreased in many ELY Centre regions.
The most beef was produced in Kiuruvesi (3.2 million kg), Kuopio (3.2 million kg) and Kurikka (2.0 million kg).
Mutton production rose by two per cent to 1.35 million kilograms.
