Meat production 12/2022 (provisional)

Meat production decreased by 2% in 2022 compared to the previous year.  Poultry meat production was almost the same as in the previous year. Beef, pork and sheep meat production decreased.

In December 2022, year-on-year:

• Beef production: - 8 %
• Pork production: - 11 %
• Poultry meat production: - 9 %
• Mutton production: + 26 %

In 2022 year-on-year:

• Beef production: - 2 %
• Pork production: - 3 %
• Poultry meat production: 0 %
• Mutton production: - 1 %

Slaughter numbers for suckler cows in 2022 are not comparable with previous years.
