In March, 6.6 million cubic meters of roundwood was harvested for industrial use. The volume of removals was 4% higher than in March of the previous year and 3% lower than the five-year average. From January to March, a total of 19.5 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood were harvested, exceeding last year's removal by 8%.

Industrial wood

  • The removals of sawlogs was 2.7 million cubic metres and pulpwood removals 4.0 million cubic metres.
  • Industrial roundwood removals from non-industrial private forests totaled 5.5 million cubic meters, an increase of 4% compared to the previous year.
  • Industrial roundwood removals from forest industry companies’ forests and state-owned forests was 1.1 million cubic metres, up by 4% from the previous year.

Energywood

  • Energywood removals was 0.5 million cubic metres. Of this amount 79% were delimbed stems and whole-trees. In January-March, a total of 2.0 million cubic meters of energy wood had been harvested.
