Energywood harvesting data for January–December 2025, revised on 23 March 2026

In February a total of 5.9 million cubic metres of industrial roundwood was harvested, which was six percent less than in Februari of the previous year. From January to February, a total of 11.7 million cubic metres of industrial roundwood had been harvested, which was nine percent less than in the previous year. 

Industrial roundwood

  • In February, 2.2 million cubic meters of sawlogs was harvested (-11% from the previous year) and 3.6 million cubic meters of pulpwood (-3%).
  • From private forests, 4.9 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood was harvested (-8%).
  • From forest industry companies’ own forests and state-owned forests, 1.0 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood was harvested (+5%).

Energywood

  • In February, 0.5 million cubic metres of energywood were harvested (-24%). Of this amount, 82 percent consisted of delimbed stems and whole trees.
  • From January to February, a total of 1.1 million cubic metres of energywood had been harvested (-26%)
