Energywood harvesting data for January–December 2025, revised on 23 March 2026

In October, 5.9 million cubic meters of roundwood for industrial use was harvested, which was six percent less than in October of the previous year. From January to October, a total of 51.4 million cubic metres of industrial roundwood was harvested, which was two percent, or about 1.2 million cubic metres, more than in the previous year.

Industrial roundwood

  • In October, 2.8 million cubic meters of sawlogs was harvested (-9% from the previous year) and 3.0 million cubic meters of pulpwood (-3%).
  • From private forests, 4.6 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood was harvested (-6%).
  • From forest industry companies’ own forests and state-owned forests, 1.2 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood was harvested (-8%).

Energywood

  • Energywood removals was 0.6 million cubic metres. Of this amount 60% were delimbed stems and whole-trees. In January-October, a total of 6.5 million cubic metres of energy wood was harvested.
