Population structure monitoring tool for in vivo conservation of native Finnish sheep and goat breeds

The aim of the project is to build a computational routine for monitoring the population structure of indigenous goat and sheep breeds, which is needed to maintain the genetic diversity of the breeds. The important population parameters, such as the number of animals in the breed, age distribution, changes in kinships and survival of various breeding lines will be computed.
