Towards shared understanding of the changes in sustainability of forest use.

Traditionally the sustainability of forest use has been monitored purely from timber production point of view. Criteria suitable for operationally monitoring sustainability from ecological, social or even economic point of view are largely missing. The goal of this project is to develop, in co-operation with the stakeholders, additional criteria that can be utilized in national and regional level policy programs.
