In 2021, the total utilized agricultural area was 2,268,000 hectares (-1924 ha) on a total of 44,343 (-1041 holdings) holdings included in the register of agricultural and horticultural enterprises.

  • The area under winter wheat (54,700 ha) increased by about 220% from the previous year. In contrast, the area under spring wheat (162,700 ha) decreased by 12%.
  • The area of ​​oats (331,500 ha) decreased by about 5%. The area of ​​the most cultivated cereals, barley (447,800 ha) decreased by 2%.
  • The area under beans (12,400 ha) decreased by almost 30% and the area under peas (22,900 ha) by 7%.
  • The area under cumin (18,400 ha) decreased by 9%. The area of ​​potatoes (20,400 ha) decreased by 4%.
  • The rapeseed sector (29,700 ha) grew strongly (+ 157%). The rapeseed area (8,250 ha) decreased by 33%.
  • The forage area (798,000 ha) increased by about 17,000 hectares (+ 2%).
  • Set-aside area (212,600 ha) increased by almost 5,400 hectares (+ 3%).
