Statistics on cereals purchased and used by industry and trade, Q3 2016

During the third quarter of 2016:

A total of 706 million kilos of cereals entered the market from farms, of which

• bread wheat 73 million kilos
• feed wheat 83 million kilos
• rye 40 million kilos
• malting barley 40 million kilos
• feed barley 232 million kilos
• oats 236 million kilos.

A total of 11 million kilos of rape and turnip rape entered the market from farms.

Industry in Finland used a total of 352 million kilos of cereals

• 104 million kilos were used for food

• 171 million kilos were used for feed.
