Cereals purchased and used, Q1 2019

During the first quarter of 2019:

A total of 345 million kilos of cereals entered the market from farms, of which

• bread wheat 43 million kilos
• feed wheat 48 million kilos
• rye 19 million kilos
• malting barley 34 million kilos
• feed barley 115 million kilos
• oats 85 million kilos.

A total of 14 million kilos of rape and turnip rape entered the market from farms.

Industry in Finland used a total of 326 million kilos of cereals

• 111 million kilos were used for food
• 129 million kilos were used for feed
• 86 million kilos were used for other uses.
