- The number of cattle at start of December was 835,380. The number of dairy cows was 255,620.
- The number of suckler cows and calves increased, whereas that cows, heifers and bulls decreased.
- There were 1.1 million pigs on farms at start of December, which is 4% more than a year ago.
- The number of sows was 89 000.
