- The number of cattle at start of December was 859,380. The number of dairy cows was 263,640.
- The number of suckler cows increased, whereas that cows, heifers, bulls and calves decreased.
- The number of pigs decreased from the previous year to about 1 million pigs.
- The number of sows decreased by 4% from previous year.
