- About 2,285 million litres of milk was produced in 2018, which is 0.5 per cent less than previous year.
- Milk producers totalled 6,250 at the end of year. Number of farms decreased 8% during last year.
- Milk production decreased almost in all ELY Centres. Milk production increased in North Ostrobothnia, Ostrobothnia, North Savo and Kainuu.
- Milk production decreased by 3% in support areas AB. Nearly an equal volume of milk was produced in support area C than year 2017.
- The largest milk producer municipalities were: Kuopio, Kiuruvesi, Kurikka and Kokkola.
