Milk and Milk Product Statistics, 12/2022 (provisional)

In December, just under 178 million liters of milk were produced, which is 2% less than in the same period last year.

In 2022, milk production was around 2 151 million liters. Organic milk production was just under 81 million liters, almost the same as in 2021. The number of milk producers fell by 8% over the year. At the end of 2022, there were around 4 570 milk producers.

Compared to previous year, in December 2022:

• Milk production:  - 2%
• Production of liquid dairy products: - 6%
• Butter production:  -4%
• Cheese production:   -3%

Compared to the previous year, in year 2022:

• Milk production was 2 151 million liter (-2%)
• The production volumes of liquid dairy products fell by 5%
• Butter production fell by 4%
• Cheese production fell by 2%.
