Meat Production by Area 2015 (beef and pork)

  • Beef production rose to about 86 million kilos in 2015. Production increased almost all ELY Centre regions.
  • The most beef was produced in Kiuruvesi (3.4 million kg), Kauhava (1.9 million kg) and Siikajoki (1.6 million kg).
  • Pork production rose to 192 million kilos in 2015. Production increased almost all ELY Centres regions.
  • The largest pork-producing municipalities, Huittinen and Loimaa, both produced about 12.8 million kilos of pork.
