Meat Production by Area 2013 (beef and pork)

The same amount of beef was produced last year as in the previous year, just over 80 million kilos.
Over half of all beef was produced on farms in the Employment and Economic Development Centre regions of Northern Ostrobothnia, Northern Savonia, Southern Ostrobothnia and Ostrobothnia
As in the previous year, the largest amounts of beef were produced in Kiuruvesi (just under 3 million kg).
194 million kilos of pork were produced, which is about one per cent more than in 2012.
The largest pork-producing municipalitity was Huittinen (just over 12 million kilos of pork).
