Meat Production by Area 2011

Beef production grew to 83.5 million kilos in 2011 (including on-farm slaughter).
As in the previous year, the largest amounts of beef were produced in Kiuruvesi (2.9 million kg), Siikajoki (1.8 million kg) and Kalajoki (1.6 million kg).
Pork production declined for the third year running. In 2011, production amounted to 202 million kilos.
The largest pork-producing municipalities were Loimaa and Huittinen, both produced about 12 million kilos of pork.
