  • The number of horticultural enterprises fell to under 5,000 (4,897).
  • The total area for outdoor production was 15,667 hectares and the total area for greenhouse production was 452 hectares.
  • A record-breaking amount of greenhouse vegetables was produced: 76 million kilos.
  • The production of pot-grown vegetables increased to 75 million pots.
  • The area under cut flower production fell to 26 hectares due to a decline in rose cultivation.
  • 74 million flowering bulbs were grown.
  • Greenhouses used 1.8 TWh of energy, 27% of which was electricity.
  • The percentage of energy obtained from renewable sources increased on 2006.
