56 million kilos of eggs were produced during January–September, which is nearly equal volume of egg than during the corresponding period of 2017.
The volumes of eggs produced in enriched cages declined (-1%). The volume in barn- and free range hen houses increased (+1%) and volume of organic egg (+14%).
About 59% of eggs were produced in enriched cages, 32% in barn range hen houses, 2% free range hen houses and 7% came from organic poultry farms.
